Terms of Service

IG Studios ("Vault TCG," "we," "us," or "our") owns and operates the website at www.vaulttcg.app (the "Website") and provides the Vault TCG mobile application (the "App"). The Website, the App, and any other products, features, services, and software we make available now or in the future are collectively the "Services."

Your use of the Services is governed by these Terms of Service (these "Terms"), including any additional terms or policies we post or link to (for example, subscription or feature-specific terms).

Please read these Terms carefully. By accessing, downloading, installing, creating an account for, or otherwise using the Services, you agree that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

We may change these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page and update the "Last updated" date. If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable advance notice where practicable (for example, at least thirty (30) days where required or appropriate), such as through the App, the Website, or the email associated with your account. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date of changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms, except where applicable law requires a different process.

These Terms incorporate our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and use personal information.

1. The Services

The Services help you organize and value trading card collections, scan and identify cards, view market and pricing information, and use related tools we may offer from time to time.

You must create an account (an "Account") to use most features of the Services. During registration you will provide information described in our Privacy Policy. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to update it if it changes.

You are responsible for all activity under your Account and for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials. Notify us promptly at support@vaulttcg.app if you suspect unauthorized access.

You may delete your Account using in-app tools or by contacting support, subject to our verification and retention practices described in the Privacy Policy. Deleting your Account does not eliminate obligations that arose before deletion (for example, payment obligations for periods already billed).

You may not create an Account for another person without their express permission. We may change or reclaim usernames or identifiers if we believe it is necessary (for example, to avoid impersonation or infringement).

2. Subscriptions and purchases

Some features may require a paid subscription ("Paid Features"). Fees, billing cycles, and renewal terms are presented at checkout or in the App (including through Apple App Store, Google Play, or other payment methods we enable).

Paid Features may renew automatically until cancelled. You are responsible for cancelling through the platform where you subscribed (for example, your Apple ID or Google Play account settings) or as otherwise instructed in the App. We do not provide full refunds except where required by law or expressly stated at purchase.

If we change pricing or subscription terms, we will provide notice as required by law and these Terms.

We may offer referral codes, promotions, or discounts from time to time. Those offers are subject to any additional terms we display at the time (including eligibility and expiration).

3. Communications

We may send transactional and service-related messages (for example, account security, subscription or billing notices, or important changes to these Terms or the Privacy Policy). If we introduce optional marketing emails or similar messages, we will provide a way to opt out where required by law (for example, an unsubscribe link or a request to support@vaulttcg.app).

4. Privacy

By using the Services, you agree to our collection and use of personal information as described in the Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

If you use the Website, we or our providers may use cookies and similar technologies as described in the Privacy Policy. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may limit some functionality.

5. Eligibility and your responsibilities

You may not use the Services if:

You are under 13 years of age (or under the minimum age to consent to online services in your country, if higher), or you are under 18 where parental consent would be required in your state, province, or country to create an account or use the Services;
You are barred from using the Services under applicable law;
We have previously terminated your Account for a serious violation of these Terms or applicable law; or
You cannot form a binding contract with us.

You agree to use the Services only in compliance with these Terms and all applicable laws. You will not misuse the Services, interfere with their operation, attempt unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts, scrape or harvest data except as our APIs or features expressly allow, or use the Services to distribute malware, spam, or fraudulent content.

6. User content

The Services may allow you to submit, upload, or display content such as collection data, notes, profile information, images (including scans), files you import for collection setup (for example, CSV files), and similar materials ("User Content"). Export features may generate files on your device based on your data. You retain ownership of your User Content subject to the license you grant below.

Your User Content must not:

Violate any law or infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights;
Include unlawful, harassing, hateful, discriminatory, sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise objectionable material (as we may determine in reasonable discretion);
Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation;
Contain viruses, worms, or other harmful code, or disrupt or overload the Services or other users' experience;
Involve unsolicited advertising, pyramid schemes, or commercial solicitation outside any features we expressly provide for that purpose;
Use automated means to access or collect data from the Services without our prior written consent, except where public search engines index the Website in line with standard practices; or
Circumvent technical limits, paywalls, or security measures we employ.

You are solely responsible for your User Content and the consequences of posting it. We do not endorse User Content and are not obligated to monitor it, though we may review and remove content or suspend access where we believe it violates these Terms or creates risk.

7. License you grant us

To operate and improve the Services, you grant IG Studios a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, display, and distribute your User Content as needed to provide the Services you request (for example, to run scans, sync your collection across devices, and show your profile to you). This license lasts until you delete the relevant User Content or your Account, except that we may retain copies where required for legal, security, or backup reasons as described in our Privacy Policy.

You represent that you have the rights needed to grant this license and that your User Content does not violate these Terms.

8. Enforcement, suspension, and termination

We may remove or refuse to post User Content, suspend or terminate your Account or access to the Services, or take legal action if we believe you have violated these Terms, created legal risk, or engaged in harmful conduct. We may also modify or discontinue features or the Services as a whole.

If you believe your Account was terminated in error, contact support@vaulttcg.app. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity, and governing law) will survive termination.

9. Card scanning feature

The App may offer a feature that uses your device camera or photo library to capture images of trading cards for identification and cataloging (the "Scanning Feature"). By using the Scanning Feature, you allow the App to access the camera or photos as permitted by your device settings.

You are responsible for the images you capture and for ensuring you do not infringe third-party rights (for example, copyrighted artwork on cards) beyond what is reasonably necessary for personal collection management.

We may modify or discontinue the Scanning Feature at any time. We use scanned images to provide the Services as described in the Privacy Policy and do not sell those images to third parties except as stated there or as required by law.

10. Intellectual property

The Services, including software, design, text, graphics, logos, and other materials (excluding your User Content), are owned by IG Studios or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited rights to use the Services granted in these Terms, we reserve all rights.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from the Services except as allowed by law or with our written consent. You may not remove proprietary notices from materials we provide.

We may compile and use aggregated or de-identified data derived from use of the Services to analyze and improve our products; such data does not identify you personally.

11. Third-party services and data

The Services may integrate with or link to third-party websites, marketplaces (for example, listings or pricing sourced from partners), payment providers, or authentication services. Those third parties are not under our control; their terms and privacy policies apply. We are not responsible for third-party content, pricing, or availability.

We may impose reasonable usage limits (for example, on scans, API calls, or storage) to keep the Services reliable. If we add significant limits, we will provide reasonable notice where practicable.

12. Disclaimers

THE SERVICES (INCLUDING MARKET DATA, PRICING INFORMATION, CARD IDENTIFICATION, AND THE SCANNING FEATURE) ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS, OR THAT CARD IDENTIFICATION, PRICES, OR MARKET DATA WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE.

You are responsible for decisions you make based on information in the Services (for example, valuations or purchases of cards). Card identification may be incorrect due to image quality, lighting, product variants, or limitations of automated systems.

13. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL IG Studios, ITS AFFILIATES, OR THEIR DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, OR SUPPLIERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICES, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICES OR THESE TERMS IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD $100) OR (B) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICES IN THE THREE (3) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM (IF ANY). SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS; IN THOSE CASES, OUR LIABILITY WILL BE LIMITED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

14. Indemnity

To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless IG Studios and its affiliates, and their respective directors, officers, employees, and agents, from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your User Content, your use of the Services, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

15. General

You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your Account without our consent. We may assign our rights and obligations in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Notices may be sent to the email address associated with your Account, posted in the App, or posted on the Website.

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional terms we present for specific features, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Services.

If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. These Terms do not limit any rights you may have under mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree that federal and state courts located in California will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or the Services, subject to any right you may have to bring claims in your local courts under mandatory law.
